چکیده
Abstract Industrialization increases the number of heavy metals released into environment. Lead (Pb 2+ ), nickel (Ni ) and chromium (Cr 6+ are among these toxic cause irreversible effects on ecosystems human health due to their bio-accumulative potential. The decontamination through adsorption processes using lignocellulosic wastes from agricultural and/or forestry is a viable solution. Hence, this work aimed at studying effect pH biosorption metal ions four different by-product materials: walnut shell, chestnut pinewood burnt pinewood. These experiments were conducted with solutions three in which adsorbents immersed measure rate adsorption. A range values 3.0 7.5 was used experiments, concentrations determined by atomic absorption. results showed behaviour biosorbent materials when applied metals. lead had an ideal 5.5–7.5 shell as adsorbent, corresponding greater than 90%, but for other materials, maximum occurred 7.5. For chromium, very heterogeneous all adsorbents, optimal varying (for shell) 6.5 wood). nickel, best around 5, according material used. indicate that tested biosorbents have potential decontaminate wastewater variable extensions controlling solution; more efficient removal can be achieved.

Adsorption of Copper from Aqueous Solution Using Low- Cost Adsorbent
In this study activated carbon prepared from Adathoda vasica stem was used as adsorbent to remove Cu from an industrial waste water. For this purpose, high grade CuSO4.5H2O was used as heavy metal sample. Laboratory experimental investigation was carried out to identify the effect of pH (1.50 – 5.5), agitation time (30-240 min) varying temperature (30-50 ̊C) and varying biomass quantities (2,4,6...

15 صفحه اولStudy on the Adsorption of Heavy Metal Ions from Aqueous Solution on Modified SBA-15
Amino-functionalized SBA-15 mesoporous silica was prepared, characterized, and used as an adsorbent for heavy metal ions. The organic–inorganic hybrid material was obtained by a grafting procedure using SBA-15 silica with 3-aminopropyl-triethoxysilane and bis(2,4,4-trimethylpentyl) phosphinic acid (Cyanex 272), respectively. The structure and physicochemical properties of the materials were cha...
متن کاملAdsorption Efficiency of Iron Modified Carbons for Removal of Pb(II) Ions from Aqueous Solution
Abstract Introduction: The Lead causes severe damage to several systems of the body, especially to bony tissues. Until now, several low-cost biosorbents have been studied for removal of heavy metal ions from aqueous solutions. In the present study, carbonized pomegranate peels modified with Fe2+ and Fe3+ ions and then it was investigated for removal of Pb(II) ions from aqueous solution. ...
متن کاملAdsorption of heavy metal ions from aqueous solution by carboxylated cellulose nanocrystals.
A novel nanoadsorbent for the removal of heavy metal ions is reported. Cotton was first hydrolyzed to obtain cellulose nanocrystals (CNCs). CNCs were then chemically modified with succinic anhydride to obtain SCNCs. The sodic nanoadsorbent (NaSCNCs) was further prepared by treatment of SCNCs with saturated NaHCO3 aqueous solution. Batch experiments were carried out with SCNCs and NaSCNCs for th...
